Grace L Robinson, 89, of Lima, a retired antique dealer and active member of Bethany Baptist Church, died Tuesday November 22nd, 2006 at Chester-Crozer Medical Center.
Born in West Grove, Penna, and graduate of Avon Grove High School. She and late husband, Dan, were one of the first American-African members of the Penna. Antiques Dealers Associations.
They participated in many antique and flea market shows. In addition, Grace was a domestic engineer for the Medical complex of Rosenberg, Ward, Barr and Jones.
At Bethany Baptist Church, she was a member of the Virginia Club and supported many of church and community activities. She was an avid gardener who created stunning floral “English” gardens. The aroma of good food and other gourmet delicacies always filled her gracious home, having her be the envy of many.
She was preceded in death by late husband, Daniel B, parents Rose and Horace Gibbs, sister Margaret Holloman and brother Herman Gibbs.
Survivors: 4 children, Delores R Shelton of Chester, Daniel B Robinson Jr. of Lima, David L Robinson of Wilmington, Dela and Douglas H Robinson of New York, NY; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, sister Ardean DeVaughn of Exton, Penna and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday November 28th, Bethany Baptist Church, 12th and Tilghman Streets, Chester.
Visitation: 9 - 11 a m at the church. The family will assembly at 232 Barren Road, Lima.
